Max Armstrong, one of America's favorite farm broadcasters, traveled thousands of miles by air and ground to hear the stories of the men and women of the Heartland.

Armed with an endless curiosity and a winning personality, Max visited farmers and producers at their kitchen tables, in their tractors and combines. He visited processing plants where farm products were converted to food, and so many other products toured the factories where farm equipment was built. He enjoyed the end product at restaurants across the region.

In a warm storytelling style crafted over his 50 years in radio and television, Max shares the joys and sorrows of the women and men who feed, clothe, and fuel the world.
